STEP 1
THE PROCESS STARTS
A clear business plan is at the core of any recruitment project, however
large or small. We work closely with our clients to challenge assumptions
and examine all aspects of the plan to ensure that their real resourcing
needs are identified and met.
We ask the right questions so we fully understand our clients’ key

STEP 2
ESTABLISH THE CORRECT PROFILE
Carrying out a comprehensive review of the business plan and agreeing mutual
aims and objectives enables us to create a detailed profile of the ideal
candidate, and to clearly identify whether golf knowledge or business acumen
is most important.
Putting people in the wrong positions carries risk and the cost of getting

RESEARCH PHASE

researchers to scrutinise golf and other consumer-facing industries for
potential candidates. Our search process embraces both traditional and innovative
methods, enabling us to source candidates discreetly and objectively to

STEP 4
EVALUATE CANDIDATES
Exceptional candidates who appear to have the requisite professional background,
core competencies and personal characteristics to meet the search criteria
are systematically refined through a process of rigorous evaluation. CMM
will identify executives who are equipped to deal with the growing challenges
of increased competition, the changing geography of the golf market, pricing
pressures, and ever-rising consumer expectations.
We aim to deliver a shortlist to our client within four to five weeks of appointment, and we continue our search efforts until such time as the client has made a decision to hire.
CMM conducts 360-degree orbital referencing from various multiple sources, including present and past colleagues wherever relevant.
STEP 5
PRESENT SHORT LIST TO CLIENT
CMM presents a short list of suitable candidates to the client
for interviewing. This is a critical moment in the process, and CMM works
closely with clients to manage the expectations of both parties. Understanding
these expectations and the impact they will have on the candidate’s
life in any new environment enables us to successfully transition that person
into a new position.
