The Club was founded in 1888 and was redesigned by Alister MacKenzie in 1925. Consistently ranked as one of the best Parkland Courses in Ireland, Cork Golf Club are recruiting a Course Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Course Superintendent to take responsibility for the management and development of our iconic course. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the course including course budget.
- To be considered for this position, the candidate must have:
- Relevant green keeping qualifications to a minimum or equivalent of Higher National Diploma in Golf Course management.
- Experience and understanding of sustainable fine grasses
- Good management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a green keeping team.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of machinery and irrigation systems
- Up to date knowledge of Health & Safety
- Spraying Qualifications (PA1, PA2, PA6).
